KEEPFIT PROGRAM
At the completion of any
physical rehabilitation program, it is essential to continue with
certain activities and exercises in order to maintain the progress
made during your therapy, to prevent your problem from returning and
to prevent further problems. This is sometimes a challenge to those
who have limited access to fitness and exercise equipment because of
money, transportation, hectic scheduling or simply because they are
uncomfortable going to a gym and independently working on unfamiliar
equipment.
Designed specifically with those people in mind, the KeepFit Program
will offer all discharged physical therapy patients the opportunity
to continue using Valley Rehabilitation’s fitness equipment. The
KeepFit Program will be an available option to Valley
Rehabilitation’s discharged patients beginning in June 2005 for a
nominal fee of $25 per month. Participants will be educated in the
independent use of Valley Rehabilitation’s universal gym, treadmill,
stationary bike, hand weights and leg weights, and there will be a
physical therapist on site at all times to answer any questions that
might arise once independent exercise is underway.
For information, please call or stop at Valley Rehabilitation.
*Please note – The KeepFit program does not include access/use of the
following: modalities (hot packs, cold packs, ultrasound,
iontophoresis, electrical stimulation), massage, stretching
performed by Valley Rehabilitation staff, use of Valley
Rehabilitation’s pool.
